Welcome to the Precious Earth Blog. In my first post I want to give a little insight as to what the main inspiration was to create Precious Earth. I started working with my parents in our family’s jewelry business back in May of 1997. Over the past twelve years I have seen just about every color, shape and size diamond imaginable but none of those spoke to me quite like the diamond I saw in August of 2008. This was the first time that I saw a Namibian Diamond and learned in depth about the concept of beneficiation. I really was moved by the idea of our industry giving back through jobs and education to those who live in countries where diamonds are a natural resource . This approach seems far more fair and logical than taking diamonds that are mined in Namibia and Botswana and shipping them to be cut elsewhere in the world. So seeing that first Namibian diamond and realizing the good that diamonds can do for the people of Namibia and Botswana gave me all the impetus I needed to pursue my new labor of love now known as Precious Earth Fine Jewelry.

We’d be honored if you would visit us and see our latest jewelry designs at www.preciousearthjewelry.com

Thanks for reading and all the best,
